Karlyn and I met at the Park Hill Dance Collective photoshoot we did in the spring. She is the artistic director of the company and owner of Park Hill Dance Academy. We were both really excited to make maternity dance portraits so a month or so later, we headed to the beach with her partner, Kevin.
First the two of them did some partner work and even a couple of lifts. I’m pretty sure lifting one person is hard, but lifting one and a half people in sand must be way harder. Then Karlyn braved the water and even rolled around on the shore, because she is one badass mama!
Want engaging dance portraits for you or your company? Find out more about Creative Sessions and email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would love to help tell your story through dance and photography.
This gorgeous woman is going to be a mother…again!
A couple months ago, I reached out to Jennifer about photographing her family to build my storytelling portfolio and she had an even better idea. It turns out the timing could not have been better because she had just found out she was pregnant with her second child.
Jennifer Mason and I met through a photography networking group and we took each other’s headshots back in January. She is a fantastic birth photographer and she inspired me to photograph my first birth last month. (blog post coming soon!)
The Mason’s were excited to announce their big news in a creative way so we got to work dreaming up ideas. We decided to do a family photography session in Denver and play in the park. M gave her mama some cute presents with the help of dad. She is so excited about becoming a big sister!
We did some more exploring around the RiNo arts district but I’m saving those for later. Mason Family in RiNo!
Every day is a story. I would love to help you share yours and document all of life’s little moments. Find out more about Storytelling sessions and tell me your story at email@example.com.
