We just finished our second shoot for Dance by Design, a collaborative, multi-shoot project involving local dancers, fashion designers, and locations around Denver.
For this shoot, ballerina Molly Klug wore two sets of jewelry by MKaltenbach in two different locations. This is part one of the shoot, in an amazing field of sunflowers with Molly wearing MKaltenbach’s Turquoise Lapel necklace, along with her Quartz Dream Catcher Earrings and a bunch of fun bracelets.
Part two took place in the Santa Fe Arts District and you won’t want to miss it!
Molly is in her second season with Colorado Ballet’s Studio Company and has been living in Denver for just over a year.
“The city has a very down to earth and health conscience energy that I really enjoy and feel connected to through dance and working at the ballet. I also really enjoy the city’s connection to nature. I am originally from the Chicagoland area and so I am not used to being so close to nature and being able to experience it. I have taken a few trips to the mountains, which I really enjoyed, and it is a wonderful new experience for me.”
“Megan Kaltenbach started designing jewelry during her free time while she was a full-time model living in the Financial District in Lower Manhattan. In May of 2010 she started making necklaces to fulfill her love for fashion. She chose MKaltenbach for the name of her company to keep the legacy of her last name alive. Meg currently lives in Denver, CO with her husband, blogging and designing for MKaltenbach full time.”

I love the juxtaposition of the fluidity of her body and the metal power lines and long stalks of the flowers. It’s a really lovely mixture and I love her red hair!
